Innovative Closure System for Pharmaceutical Containers
Between January 3, 2022 and January 29, 2024, Metalco carried out significant experimental development activities that led to the creation of a patented pharmaceutical closure system. The result is the Italian patent titled:
“Closure element for pharmaceutical containers and process for producing such closure element”
Patent No. 28901, granted on February 1, 2024 (Application No. 102022000001565).
This innovative solution addresses key challenges in the pharmaceutical packaging industry by offering a single-component closure system that improves safety, efficiency, and sustainability compared to traditional multi-part closures.

The closure system consists of a main aluminum body and an elastic sealing element, permanently anchored together through injection molding. This design ensures:
